AudienceRated ("we", "us", or "our") provides movie ratings and reviews sourced only from people who can be verified as having actually booked a ticket for the movie they're reviewing. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information We Collect

• Account information: when you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from your Google account via Supabase Authentication.
• Booking verification data: if you choose to connect your Gmail account, we scan your inbox for movie ticket booking confirmation emails only, to verify that you actually booked the movies you review. We do not read, store, or process any other emails, and we never access personal, financial, or unrelated correspondence.
• Reviews and ratings: the star ratings, written reviews, and movie names you submit through the app.
• Usage data: basic technical information such as browser type and general usage patterns, used to keep the service working reliably.

How We Use Your Information

• To verify that a review comes from someone who actually booked a ticket.
• To display your reviews and ratings to other users of the app.
• To maintain your account and authenticate your sign-ins.
• To operate, secure, and improve the service.

How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the service providers that power AudienceRated (such as Supabase for authentication and database hosting, and Google for sign-in and, where you opt in, booking verification), and only to the extent needed to run the service. We may also disclose information if required by law.

Data Retention

We retain account and review data for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.

Your Choices

• Connecting Gmail for booking verification is optional. You can disconnect it at any time from your profile.
• You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data.
• You can delete your account at any time.

Children's Privacy

AudienceRated is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above.
